Friends raising glasses at the tasting room bar
Friends raising glasses at the tasting room bar

Twelve years
on Toole Avenue.

One distillery, one copper still and the same idea the whole time: grain from farms we can drive to, distilled by people who remember how you take your rye.

Opened 2014

Montana grain since 2015

Tours since 2017

Bottle club since 2021

A small distillery,
with a bigger barrel room.

We added a second still, a barrel room and a cocktail bar over the years. The copper pot still, the phone number and the habit of asking what you drink have not changed.

2014

The doors open

Rae opens a narrow distillery at 830 Toole Ave with one 250-gallon copper pot still, a mash tun and six barrels.

2015

Montana grain only

Hart Farm rye, Sweetgrass malted barley and valley corn start coming in by the truckload.

2017

Our own tours

A viewing window into the still room and a promise: a distiller leads every tour.

2019

The barrel room

The old warehouse next door becomes a barrel room, and the first four-year rye goes into the bottle.

2021

The bottle club

Paloma starts the bottle club, with three bottles every quarter for members.

2026

A cocktail bar

The tasting room opens a full cocktail bar with house syrups and local bitters.

Say hi at the bar.
We will remember your order.

Rae learned to distill at a small craft distillery in Oregon and opened her own in 2014. She still runs every mash and tastes every barrel before it is bottled.

Barrels and tours

Emmett Cho

Emmett Cho

Emmett runs every single barrel order and most tours. Guests ask for him because he can tell you a barrel’s age from one sip.

Paloma Reyes

Paloma builds the cocktail menu, runs the bottle club and looks after the shop. If a gift box needs to be ready by 4 PM, she makes it happen.

Three things
you can hold us to.

Three things
you can hold us to.

A person picks up.

No phone tree. Call during tasting room hours and a distiller answers.

You see the price first.

Every order and booking gets a price by text before we confirm it.

We tell you where it came from.

Every bottle has the farm and the barrel number on the label.
